If you know me, you know that one of my favorite things to do in the world is talk about music. The fact that I have a job that involves talking about rock music every day is really perfect.

Of course, one of the most fun things about talking about music with others is discussing opinions, and everybody's got them. One topic that I've found to come up quite a bit is bands and/or artists that are overrated.

However, on the other side of the coin, it's also fun to talk about bands and artists that you think are underrated. I've always loved turning friends on to music that I love that perhaps they'd never heard before. In my own musical journey, I've discovered many of my favorite bands this way.

Curious, I posted a question on Facebook asking you which bands and artists you consider being ridiculously underrated and got all kinds of great responses.

Grand Junction Names Bands they Consider Underrated

Many of the bands mentioned in replies to my question were artists that I'd previously heard of and was familiar with that I too consider to be underrated. Some of these bands include Sevendust, Corrosion of Conformity, Collective Soul, Helmet, and others.

However, there were also a few bands that I wasn't terribly familiar with that, at your suggestion, I decided to check out. Some of these bands that I have you to thank for turning me on to them are Swallow the Sun, Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, and Days N' Daze.

Check out some bands that Grand Junction considers to be underrated and, who knows? Maybe you'll find some new favorite bands in the process as well.
