Grand Junction Salvation Army Selling Flowerpots for Addiction Awareness

Flowerpots made by recovering addicts are currently being sold to benefit the Salvation Army's Addiction Recovery Program.

The flowerpots are currently being sold by Sutherland's Lumber and the Salvation Army of Mesa County. This is to benefit the Salvation Army's Addiction Recovery Program. These pots are unique and beautiful.

Addicts in the Addiction Recovery Program have made the flowerpots from donated materials. This encourages creativity and is a part of Work Therapy.

Work Therapy "involves teaching a strong work ethic in a supportive atmosphere where coaches teach and model good work habits, and where beneficiaries are given the opportunity to be a part of their own solution by doing tasks that help pay for their program."

Art has always been therapeutic for me and it's very satisfying too, especially when you make something that you can use. The flowerpots come in all colors, shapes, and sizes.
