It was just announced - a Grand Junction restaurant/music venue just won the award for "Venue of the Year" with the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards.

Congratulations to Grand Junction's Warehouse 25sixty-five Kitchen + Bar. They just beat six other venues from across a nine-state region to win this award.

The Rocky Mountain County Music Awards were founded in 2016, showcasing Country music talent from Colorado and Wyoming. Over the years, several other states asked to participate. The RMCMA now features artists, songwriters, venues, and festivals from Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, and New Mexico.

This year's nominees for Venue of the Year included:

  • Grizzly Rose – Denver, Colorado
  • Single Barrel – Lincoln, Nebraska
  • Pub Station – Billings, Montana
  • The Hat – Manhattan, Kansas
  • Loud American Roadhouse – Sturgis, South Dakota
  • Warehouse 25Sixty-Five – Grand Junction, Colorado
  • Cowboy Saloon and Dancehall – Laramie, Wyoming

Check out that lineup: the Grizzly Rose, the Hat, and the Single Barrel. I used to play the A and B circuit, and let me tell you, those are some very prestigious rooms. Winning this award is a major achievement.

We are extremely blessed and thankful. - Butch Miller - owner (having just heard the announcement his venue had won)

Some of the bands I work with, the Swing City Express and the Western Colorado Jazz Orchestra, always look forward to playing the Warehouse. The audiences are great, the staff is fantastic, the stage is one of the best in this part of the country, and the soundman is top-notch in anyone's book.
