5 Reasons You Need To Visit This Grand Junction Book Sale
You deserve to own more books. I have no idea how many books you currently have, but you need more. Fortunately, we have the Mesa County Library ongoing book sale.
Regardless of how much reading material you currently have, now is the perfect time to stock up on more. Imagine building an awesome home library. The next round of this amazing book sale is coming up this Saturday, April 24, 2021.
This is the same book sale you've been hearing about.
The Friends of the Mesa County Libraries have been hosting this book sale for some time. It rolls around every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unfortunately, it won't last forever. The sales will continue through May 22, 2021.
Where will you find it?
Make your way to the First Congregational Church at 1425 N. 5th Street. You'll find that right between Grand Junction High School and Sherwood Park. Proceed to the door on the west side of the building. Once through that door, arrows will direct you down the hall and to the left.
Is this a good sale?
You better believe it. I stopped by last Saturday. After about 30 seconds of browsing, I found two books I've been trying to purchase for years. Both have been out of print for some time. Copies have been found on eBay and other sites, but usually at too high a price. This book sale had them for $2 each.
Please note that prices vary depending on the book. Most that I found were between one and two dollars.
Two things to remember.
- The request you wear a mask
- All purchases are cash only
My top five reasons why you should shop for this sale.
- All proceeds from book sales benefit programming at Mesa County Libraries.
- You will find books you've been searching for
- The staff was super-friendly, and it's always nice to deal with pleasant people
- Everybody needs more books
- The books I browsed through were all in excellent, near-new condition, and all at a reasonable price
Don't let this pass you by.
There are only a few weeks left for this book sale. Personally, I really enjoyed browsing the selection last week. The deals are great, and in the end, it's all for a good cause.
