For those counting the moments until the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," here's a flashback to 1974 and Spidey's first appearance on "The Electric Company." Watch as "Spidey Meets The Spoiler."

In case you're wondering, yes, those mesmerizing pipes you hear are in fact a pre-famous Morgan Freeman. Spider-Man himself was played by Danny Seagren, with Skip Hinnant as "The Spoiler." The poor lady who gets her ice cream smashed is Judy Graubart.

The truly disturbing thing about this is..... it's far more watchable than 2007's "Spider-Man 3."

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is set to be released on May 2nd. Many of the "Super Spidey Stories" from The Electric Company are available on DVD from 'Shout! Factory' and Sony BMG Music Entertainment.
