It's most certainly one of the most beautiful places on earth. A road trip through the Rocky Mountian National Park is "get'n high" at it's best!

As my may recall, last weekend I acquired myself an annual National Parks pass.  I wasted no time putting it to work at one of our countries largest, and most beautiful parks, The Rocky Mountain National Park. It's 265,761 acres of land in Colorado's northern front range. The park is split into both sides of the Continental Divide. There's truly no place quite like it.

The park contains 359 miles of trails, 150 lakes, and 450 miles. The park contains 72 named peaks higher than 12,000 feet, and over one fourth of the park resides above treeline. You make the drive across and your GPS confirms the fact that you're really that high, it's like something out of a dream.

If you've never been, or perhaps it's been awhile, make some time and take in this beautiful place. This time of year is great too.  It's still not too cold and the road across the top is still clear. The number of tourists is much lower now too. It really makes for a perfect weekend road trip. Enjoy the pictures. They're nice but hardly do it justice. See you up top!
