Fruita Theft Is Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week
A theft in Fruita is the Mesa County Crime Stoppers Crime of the week, and authorities are asking for help in identifying and locating the suspect involved in fraudulent activity.
According to police, a subject stole a wallet from a purse in a shopping cart at the City Market in Fruita on June 7. A credit card from the stolen wallet was used at Target in Grand Junction later that day.
Video surveillance captured a photo of the subject, described as a black male with a mustache.
If the man in the photo looks familiar, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 241-7867. Information leading to an arrest could earn a reward of up to $1000.
