For the millionth time people get ready, doom is upon us again. On April 15 the first of the so-called ‘Blood Moons’ will rise in the sky and right on cue the freaks are coming out of the woodwork. The ‘Tetrad’ as it is know is the occurrence of four total lunar eclipses in a row and hasn’t happened since 2004 but this time doom is upon us.

For as long as man has been on the planet any occurrence in the sky of an eclipse, a comet or a meteor shower has brought out the soothsayers and their prophecy of doom. While this will only happen seven more times in this century some people are making a fuss about this.

Don’t take my word for it just go to YouTube and search ‘Blood Moon,’ wow there are a ton of videos about the subject and most of them have been posted in the past four months. We are taking everything from the start of World War III to the rise of the antichrist.

Yes, this time doom is really upon us; I saw it on the Internet.

While the odds of some great catastrophe taking place is pretty low the total lunar eclipse will be visible in North America but you will need to stay up late to see it. The event will begin at 10:55 pm on April 14 with the full eclipse happening at 1:46am on April 15 and if the sky is clear we will have a good view in Grand Junction.

So, while the moon passing through the shadow of the Earth might mean the end of times to some people what it really mean is we get to see a cool light show from Mother Nature.
