We've got even more good news from CinemaCon -- 'Fast and Furious 7' will race to theaters on July 11, 2014, which isn't too far away.

Universal was all sequel talk for Tuesday's CinemaCon in LA  -- first came news that 'Pitch Perfect 2' is being planned and will get a release sometime in 2015, and now comes news that 'Fast and Furious 7' will hit theaters much sooner than you think, on July 11, 2014.

'Fast and Furious 6' hasn't even hit theaters yet and already Universal is making sure their next entry is on the docket. The sixth installment will be released on May 24 and will follow Agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) as he asks Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) to get the gang back together to help bring down an international criminal in order to clear their own criminal records. The film also features a return from Michelle Rodriguez and a big cameo surprise at the end (so we hear).

Director Justin Lin, who has helmed the last three 'Fast and Furious' movies, has stepped down from his post, leaving the director's chair open for 'Fast and Furious 7,' and it's been rumored that Universal is looking at 'Insidious' and 'The Conjuring' director James Wan to take the reigns.

However, now we're worried that The Rock might not be able to reprise his role as Hobbs, since he recently stated that if 'Fast and Furious 7' filming began this summer, which it will now, that he wouldn't be able to take part as he'll be busy with Brett Ratner's 'Hercules.' With still no word yet on whether he'll actually be back for a seventh installment, the future direction of the franchise is left up in the air.
