Fantasy Faire Is An Awesome Way to Start Summer
The first weekend in June is going to be fantasy fantastic with an event that brings history, fantasy and science fiction to life.
The 2016 Fantasy Faire promises fun for people of all ages by combining historical re-enactment, fantasy and science fiction into one incredible three-day event.
Fantasy Faire organizers say there will be demonstrations, music, cosplay, and plenty of interactive exhibits and games of skill for children and adults. Attendees can even learn how to be a knight.
People attending the event will be surrounded by Vikings, Pirates, and characters from the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Favorite Mythic, Fantasy, Science Fiction and Steampunk characters will also be at the faire.
The event is scheduled for June 3 through 5. Friday and Saturday the event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. All activities take place at Sweet River Gardens, 312 29 Road which is just north of the Colorado River.
Admission for the event is $5 per person per day. Teens 13-17 are $3 and kids 12 and under are free. A family pass is also available for $20 per day. Teens under 18 and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend the faire.
