Miss May I's Shadows Inside album is almost here, but we've got another exclusive track to share ahead of the June 2 release, plus you can also check out the final installment of Miss May I's "In-Studio" documentary series for their upcoming disc.

As for the song 'Casualties,' it's a heavy, dark full-throttle rocker with the low end bass and rapid fire drumming propelling the song. You can hear it in the player above.

Singer Levi Benton says of the song, “The track ‘Casualties' came from a place of loss and feeling numb. This song is about how sometimes you lose interest in things you once loved and you start to feel nothing. When this happens both sides are lost and become casualties in the end. This song came from not feeling anything anymore towards everything I was doing. I felt so burned over the years and was so exhausted that it felt like there was no point to anything. I couldn’t feel happy, I couldn’t feel sad and I simply couldn’t feel anything!"

He continues, "I never wanted to really show this side of myself in a song, but I felt it was a the time to and really be honest on this album. It’s great to have songs that are so over the top in honesty and in the music because it gives us a chance to really give our fans a next level experience."

Meanwhile, Miss May I also also premiering the final installment of their "In-Studio" documentary leading up to the release of the Shadows Inside album. In the clip, the band open with a jazzy little ditty, before showing quick shots and the studio and starting a few interviews about the album. Benton speaks about the "business" side of things and how it doesn't really feel like a job being in the band. Ryan Neff also addresses the consistency in their lineup, while BJ Stead and Jerod Boyd speak about the chemistry of the group and Justin Aufdemkampe speaks about the inner workings of the group. The guys also share some reflections of past band highlights and give you more insight, so be sure to watch the clip in full below.

As stated, Miss May I's Shadows Inside album is due June 2. The disc will be released via SharpTone Records and you can pre-order the effort via Amazon, iTunes and Google Play.
