Colorado Mesa University's Department of Theatre Arts will present its first MET production October 30–November 1 in the Moss Performing Arts Center's Mesa Experimental Theatre. Senior Acting/Directing major, Colton Pratt, will direct "Venus in Fur" by David Ives. In this comedy, an actress's masterful performance at an audition flips the script on the director's expectations and turns the session into a tango for dominance between actress and director. "Venus in Fur" is a laugh-out-loud study of the politics of sex and power. The play is Rated R.
The Mesa Experimental Theatre, or MET, is a versatile black box which seats up to 150 people in an intimate setting. The MET is often home to both student-produced and directed performances and faculty productions with a more "cutting-edge" feel than traditional main stage offerings.
Tickets for Venus in Fur are available at the Box Office by calling 970-248-1604 or may be purchased online at coloradomesa.edu/mosstickets
