Why retire someplace sunny and warm when you can retire to Denver? A new report from Wallethub states that Denver is among the top 10 places in America to spend your golden years.

Nobody wants to think about retiring but it's never too early to start planning. When you take into consideration factors like quality of life, things to do and health care, Denver ranks up there with the best of them. One area where the Mile High City ranks poorly is affordability.

Also making the list is Colorado Springs at #47 and Aurora at #92. Overall, Colorado is considered the second-best place to retire after Florida and right ahead of New Hampshire.

In terms of places to avoid, you'll probably want to stay away from Newark, New Jersey, Bridgeport, Connecticut and Baltimore, Maryland.

Have you thought about it, would you like to retire?
