It's time to hit the water! First, your boat will need an inspection.

Earlier this year I shared that all boat owners are now, as of Janyary 1 2019, are required to purchase an annual Colorado Parks & Wildlife ANS Stamp. You'll need to display it and have the receipt on your person before launching a motor or sailboat on Colorado waters. That will cost you $25. Residents can purchase the ANS stamp when you register your boat. If you are registering or renewing online, or with a registration renewal postcard, the cost of the ANS stamp will appear as part of your total amount due.

You're not "water ready" yet. The next step before you can launch your boat on Colorado waters is to get a boat inspection. There are 73 inspection stations across Colorado. Most opened on April 1st. Our nearest station at Highline Reservoir State Park. Operation hours expand from 7 AM-8 PM April 1st through May 16th and extends to 10 PM through the end of the May and then again to 6 AM- 9 PM thoughout the summer.
