New research shows that of all 50 states, Colorado's community college system is ranked 13th in the nation.

While this is a rather impressive number on a grand scale, it does mean that there are 12 states that are home to community college systems that rank higher than that of the Centennial State.

Which States Have Better Community College Systems than Colorado?

Surprisingly, three of the states that reportedly have better community college systems than Colorado also share a border with the Centennial State.

These states are Kansas, which is ranked 10th, Wyoming, which is ranked 8th, and New Mexico, which is ranked 2nd in the nation when it comes to community college systems.

Minnesota, Hawaii, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Oregon, Washington, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Maryland also ranked higher on the list of community college systems in the United States.
