If you were thinking about getting into the high country this summer, you might want to pack some winter clothes and boots to do so. This season we have seen a great deal of snow dropped on some parts of Colorado. So much, in fact, there are parts that are at above 600% snowpack.

Statewide, Colorado is at 376% above average snowpack and that is a good thing when it comes to drought. It seems as if we will see snowcapped peaks for quite some time to come over the summer.
