I can tell you this: I am a big fan of a great bagel. They're convenient in their smallness, and come in a wide variety so you can "change it up" upon occasion. I find it hard to believe that research shows that not all Coloradans are such fans of bagels.

Shane Co. looked into America's bagel consumption by surveying over 3,000 people. They asked about our favorite bagel flavor, favorite cream cheese, and favorite toppings. They also looked at bagel consumption for each state, and how much people were willing to spend on a bagel sandwich.

Maybe Shane Co. just got a hold of the wrong Coloradans, as their results found that Coloradans only enjoy 37 bagels a year, when places like Maine and Delaware are enjoying more than twice that, at 73 bagels a year. Wow.

WHAT IS COLORADO'S FAVORITE FLAVOR OF BAGEL?

Shane Co. found that we Coloradans love the Everything bagel. Maybe we just hate having to choose, so we just blurt out "Everything!'. Then again, the most popular flavor across the nation was Everything, too, so, we aren't alone.

WHAT FLAVOR OF CREAM CHEESE DO COLORADANS LIKE?

I, personally, like plain for the most part, but they did not ask me. It looks like most Coloradans enjoy the Garlic & Herb cream cheese. I will have to expand my horizons and give that one a shot.

WHAT TOPPINGS DO COLORADANS LIKE ON THEIR BAGELS?

According to Shane Co.'s study, we prefer lox and capers. I didn't see that coming. I generally do not put any topping on my bagel; I like to keep it simple. Eggs was the most popular across the Nation; that does sound pretty good, right now.
