What Was Colorado's Coldest Recorded Temperature?
The coldest recorded temperature in Colorado's recorded history was an unbelievable -61 degrees Fahrenheit.

This extremely cold temperature was recorded on February 1st, 1985, in Maybell, a small town near Craig, Colorado, located in the state's northwest corner.
What Was Colorado's Highest Recorded Temperature?
The highest recorded temperature in Colorado's history was a whopping 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
This scorching temperature was recorded on July 20, 2019, at John Martin Reservoir.
Interestingly, John Martin Reservoir is located in Bent County, Colorado, along the Arkansas River in the southeastern portion of the state, which is almost the exact opposite side of the Centennial State from where the record low was recorded over 40 years ago.
How Do Colorado's Neighbors' Highs and Lows Compare?
It should come as no surprise that every one of the states that border Colorado has recorded record high temperatures that are higher than those of the Centennial State.
Only Utah and Wyoming have record lows that are lower than Colorado's coldest, with temperatures reported at -69 degrees Fahrenheit and -63 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively.
