However, a new ranking of the top ten most scenic hot springs in the world has just been released and while a Colorado hot spring did make the list, it likely isn't one that you'd expect.
Is This the Most Scenic Hot Springs in Colorado?
The list, published by a Facebook page called Incredible Facts, states that Colorado's Dunton Hot Springs is one of the top ten most scenic in the world.

In case you're not familiar, Dunton Hot Springs is located in the small southwestern Colorado town of Dolores and has a history dating back to the mining days of the mid-1800s.
One difference between then and now is the fact that in the early days, Dunton was also a town. However, Dunton slowly experienced the same fate as many other old Colorado mining towns and was eventually deserted.
Today, despite being located just 25 miles south of Telluride, Dunton Hot Springs is a bit of a hidden gem and if you've ever spent time there, you can likely understand why it was recently named one of the most scenic in the world.
