Jurassic Oceans Exhibit Reveals Ancient Marine Creatures In Denver

Colorado offers a number of fun and educational experiences related to the prehistoric creatures that once roamed the globe. There's the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita, Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison, and even a town named after the many fossils found in the area known as, simply, Dinosaur, Colorado.

While these experiences focus on prehistoric beasts that walked the Earth, another interesting exhibit is currently open in Colorado that focuses on the equally terrifying marine life of the past.

Colorado Museum Exhibit Dives into the Deep Blue Prehistoric Sea

The exhibit is currently open at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, located at 2001 Colorado Boulevard, and is called “Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep.”

This particular exhibit differs from many of the permanent ones across the state, as instead of focusing on dinosaurs that walked on land, it features relics from creatures that lived under the sea.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science describes the exhibit as follows:

When dinosaurs ruled the land, the oceans teemed with equally fascinating and fearsome creatures. Explore the astonishing life of ancient seas, from the mighty Jurassic plesiosaur to the colossal megalodon that lived millions of years later, and uncover the captivating story of their evolution and ecosystems

Not only will the exhibit be available to check out through September, but the educational portion will be available with narration in both English and Spanish.
