That being said, one website has created a list of the "15 Best Places to Live if You Love Outdoor Activities" and while one place in Colorado cracked the top five, it's not unreasonable to assume that the list is based more on opinion than anything else.
Colorado City Named Second-Best for Outdoor Activities
The article was published by American Home Shield, a company that specializes in helping homeowners with appliance repairs, warranties, and more.
However, the list that appears on the company's website regarding the best places to live for outdoorsy types might be a topic of conversation and debate among Coloradans.
The list places Carmel-by-the-Sea, California as the best place to live for outdoor activities, followed by Fort Collins, Colorado at second place, then Everglades City in Florida, Oregon's largest city of Portland, and Concord, Massachusetts rounding out the top five.
While it's easy to argue that a metropolis like Portland wouldn't exactly vibe as a great place for outdoor enthusiasts, the fact that Fort Collins landed the second-place spot is a bit of a noggin-scratcher as well.
While Fort Collins is a lovely city filled with music, art, and an all-around good vibe, it's hard to justify its spot on the list based on the simple fact that it is a major city by Colorado standards and as the home of Colorado State University, gets pretty rowdy at times.
