Swardson appeared on an episode of Theo Von's podcast, where he recounted the time that he nearly died at Denver International Airport.
In the interview, Swardson recalls being violently ill due to excessive alcohol intake, vomiting into his carry-on bag, and finally asking for help upon arriving at DIA.

Swardson was taken to the hospital, where he stayed for 3.5 weeks and was in such bad shape that his family flew to Denver to see him as they were told that he would not survive the ordeal.

In videos taken by attendees, Swardson can be heard slurring his words onstage before being removed by security.
Swardson blamed the fact that he consumed an excessive amount of THC edibles and alcohol, which caused him to experience what he called "brain diarrhea."
This is not the first time that a comedian has been pulled off stage during a show because of word slurring resulting from consuming too many THC-infused edibles, as a similar incident took place at the Avalon Theater in Grand Junction involving the late Ralphie May.
