This year, a town known for its national geological wonders, dinosaur tracks, and arguably the greatest concert venue this side of the Mississippi River will be hosting a special competition and things are going to get messy.
Morrison Colorado to Host Muddy Obstacle Course in 2025
While Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is by far the claim to fame of the hidden gem of Morrison, Colorado, this summer will see visitors show up for an entirely, and much messier, reason.

The obstacle run is called Mud Factor and will take place at 701 S. Rooney Road in Morrison on August 2, 2025.
While obstacle runs like this are primarily popular with the same type of people who dedicate themselves to things like marathons and CrossFit, Mud Factor also serves as quite the spectator sport.
Some of the obstacles that are part of Mud Factor include an especially muddy water slide, a wire crawl through more mud, and a climbing wall called, "The Obstacle Formerly Known as The U.S. Border," to name a few.
Mud Factor is a ticketed event that offers volunteer opportunities to those who want to help out in exchange for entry.
Check out all the details about the event via Mud Factor's official website.
