The Colorado Mesa University women's record breaking season just got better this week as they move up to number seven in the USA Today/WBCA Division II Coaches' Poll.The Mavericks, who are 14-0 (10-0 RMAC), are the only Colorado team in this week's Division II Top 25 rankings.

According to Colorado Mesa University, the Mavs' start is the best in school history, breaking the previous record of 11-0 in the 1988-1999 season. The team is averaging 73 points per game and has three players Kelsey Sigl, Sharaya Selsor and Katrina Selsor who are averaging 13 or more points per game.

The Mavericks are on their home court, Brownson Arena, this Saturday (Jan 19) and will host Western State Colorado University. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. A capacity crowd is likely, so it's best to get there early and grab some great seats. The CMU men's basketball game, also against Western, will follow at 7:30 p.m making a great night for basketball in Grand Junction.
