Colorado Hotel Under Fire After Refusing to Serve Military Personnel
You know what they say: if you post it, the hate will come.
Facebook user Aimee Osbourne posted a photo of a sign in the dining area of the Colorado Springs DoubleTree Hotel that read, "No longer serving military personnel and their guest(s)". Osbourne's post, which has since been deleted, read:
"So last night we took over 600 people to the #doubletreecoloradoSpringsand paid over $50 a person. They came in and shut down our traditions. Treated us like crap, refused to leave food for guests in the bathroom or chatting. They said when they are seated they will be served. They charged us over $12 a drink which we all paid. And then left this sign on the bar! This event was a post deployment ceremony! These men and women where being honored for serving our county, but I guess serving them at the double tree is too much! Just so you know, we did not damage the building and there was no reason to treat us this way!"

Facebook and Twitter immediately erupted with comments of outrage, with many claiming that they would never visit the DoubleTree ever again. The hotel received so much backlash that General Manager Daniel Kammerer finally had to make a statement on their Facebook page, which was updated today. It reads:
The comments, full of hate, are still pouring in. Hopefully, the DoubleTree is able to bounce back from this terrible mistake.
