Colorado has over 100 hospitals across our great state. It's no surprise that Colorado does a great job of taking their own. These two hospitals in Colorado are among the top 50 hospitals in the nation.

Colorado's hospitals, along with every other state in the nation, has been ranked by Healthgrades.com. The website determined hospital rankings for 2018 based on clinical quality outcomes and year over year performance.

I'm impressed that Colorado has multiple hospitals in the top 1%, which is America's 50 best hospitals. And according to Healthgrades.com, these hospitals are at the top for:

...providing overall clinical excellence across a broad spectrum of conditions and procedures consistently for at lease six consecutive years.

Colorado Hospitals in the Top 50 in the Nation:

  • Lutheran Medical Center - Wheat Ridge
  • Saint Joseph Hospital - Denver

The hospitals below are in the top 2%, which is American's 100 Best Hospitals. Which according to their website, these hospitals 'exhibit clinical excellence for at least three consecutive years.'

Colorado Hospitals in the Top 100 in the Nation:

  • Good Samaritan Medical Center - Lafayette
  • Poudre Valley Hospital - Fort Collins
  • University of Colorado Hospital - Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion

There are almost two dozen states whose hospitals didn't make the list. I'd say having 2 hospitals in the Top 50 and three hospitals in the Top 100 is pretty impressive. Way to go, Colorado, keep up the good care.
