Grand Junction’s HomewardBound Shelter Helps the Homeless

For a number of years, the HomewardBound of the Grand Valley homeless shelter at 2853 North Avenue in Grand Junction has provided shelter for countless homeless individuals in the community and has also served as a place for homeless people to go to seek emergency care.

HomewardBound also provides care for people with medical and behavioral issues, and has assisted with getting the less fortunate members of the community employment opportunities and legal services.

In addition, HomewardBound helps the most vulnerable homeless residents of Grand Junction, children, by providing a designated children’s library and play area, and assists with things like homework and reading, while offering a safe environment for things like playtime as well.

While HomewardBound has multiple locations in the city, Grand Junction’s North Avenue location is unfortunately going to be closing its doors for good in the near future.
