Colorado Gives Day Raises $39.6 Million, Breaks Record
What a great day for the 2,569 nonprofits across the state of Colorado.
Colorado Gives Day has been held annually for the last ten years after Giving Tuesday and each year Coloradans show their true giving hearts.
Since it began in 2010, Colorado Gives Day has raised over $256 million to help nonprofits state-wide through www.coloradogives.org and this year saw 165,500 donations across Colorado with amounts ranging from $10 to 1.2 million.
Colorado Gives Day is presented each year by the Community First Foundation and the level of giving this year, while no surprise, definitely warms the heart.
Colorado Gives Day is one of the most successful days of giving of this type in the U.S. and the thanks from the President of the Community First Foundation reached out to thank Colorado:
This was a great day and I want to extend a big thank you to Colorado donors. They have shown a tremendous amount of love for the nonprofits that work tirelessly day in and day out to make our state the great place that it is,” said Kelly Dunkin, president and CEO of Community First Foundation. “I also want to thank the nonprofits that participate in Colorado Gives Day. We wouldn’t have reached this milestone without your hard work.”
For all who gave this year, on behalf of all of the nonprofit agencies this will help, thank you, Colorado.
