Colorado’s Most Popular Beer is an Outlier + Not What You’d Expect
Since the early days, Colorado has been the birthplace of a number of iconic brands, including several different beers that have become household names. Of course, the biggest and most popular beer company to come out of Colorado is Coors, but the Centennial State is also home to New Belgium, Odell, Breckenridge, and countless other microbreweries.

While brands like Coors Light and Coors Original scream Colorado, new data shows that the Centennial State's most popular beer has shifted away from the traditional Coors brand, and the state's favorite in 2025 is an outlier when compared to the rest of the nation.
What is the Most Popular Beer in Colorado in 2025?
This year, data shows that the most popular beer in Colorado is Blue Moon. While Blue Moon is part of the Coors family, if you're a beer drinker, you likely know that at its core, it's a lot different than Coors Light or Coors Original.

Interestingly, Colorado is the only state in the nation in which Blue Moon is listed as the most popular beer, but Coors remains the favorite in states like California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Other popular beer brands listed as the favorite in numerous states include Miller, Budweiser, Guinness, Bud Light, Busch, Heineken, and Bud Light.
The only other outlier on the list is Corona, which has been named the most popular beer in Connecticut this year.
