What is Golden Wing Barley Milk?

Before teaming up with Molson, Coors started as the Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado back in 1873.

Many people trust Molson Coors to produce a good beer, but most people probably aren't thinking of them when it comes to milk.

Molsen Coors has produced plant-based milk created with Barley, the same ingredient used in making beer.

“We know beer, and because of that we know barley,” says Brian Schmidt, Molson Coors’ marketing manager for non-alcohol products.  “With our background and expertise, we believe this will be the next major evolution in the plant-based milk category.”

Golden Wing Barley Milk Ingredients and Benefits

While Golden Wing Barley Milk will not contain alcohol, it will contain plenty of other good things.

Golden Wing Barley Milk is said to contain 5 all-natural ingredients such as:

  • Sunflower Oil,
  • Shiitake mushroom extract,
  • Himalayan salt,
  • Barley,
  • and of course water

“We want to let our ingredients speak for themselves. Golden Wing keeps it simple, delivering on exceptional flavor with barley leading the way,” Schmidt says.

"Golden Wing contains 130 calories and, compared to 2% milk, it has 60% less sugar, 50% more calcium, and twice as much Vitamin D."

Just a heads up, the milk is said to be khaki-colored.

Where to Purchase Golden Wing Barley Milk

Currently, Molson Coors is, "taking a phased rollout approach" and Golden Wing Barley Milk can be purchased at Sprouts locations in California, in May at Whole Foods grocery stores in Southern California, and is available via its website.
