That being said, an event that aims to raise money for a charitable cause is not only a Colorado tradition that will be returning for 2024 very soon, but this particular event is especially fun for dog lovers and their furry companions.
Colorado's Furry Scurry Returns in 2024
While charitable events like 5ks that involve exerting a lot of physical activity aren't for everyone, the Furry Scurry is a different kind of event.
As you'll see in the footage above, the event is extremely dog-friendly and is one of the only charity runs in the state in which you'll find canine companions running alongside their owners.
This year's Furry Scurry will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, and will once again raise funds for the Denver Dumb Friends League, helping homeless animals like dogs and even horses find forever homes.
In fact, the Furry Scurry is traditionally the Denver Dumb Friends League's largest fundraiser with proceeds collected from race participants as well as donations.
In total, the race consists of a two-mile dog walk at Washington Park in Denver, and registrations are currently being accepted for individuals and teams.
While some Coloradans will undoubtedly be celebrating Star Wars Day this May 4, others will be raising money for a good cause in one of the most adorable charity races in the state.
