It's times like these in which it's really nice to see the Western Colorado community band together to help victims of unfortunate events such as this tragic crash and that is precisely what has been happening.

Western Colorado Bands Together to Aid Loved Ones of Crash Victims

The victims of the accident have been identified as 43-year-old CDOT employee Trent Umberger, 23-year-old CDOT employee Nathan Jones, and 67-year-old passenger Kathi Wallace.

While not confirmed, Colonel Matthew Packard of the Colorado State Patrol has commented that he believes 67-year-old Wallace to be the wife of the driver of the vehicle who, remarkably, walked away with only minor injuries.

43-year-old Umberger is remembered as a father and football parent with a heart of gold and in true Western Colorado fashion, a GoFundMe set up to aid the loved ones he left behind not only met its goal of $10,000 remarkably quick, but has far surpassed that goal.

23-year-old Jones is remembered as a dear friend with an infectious sense of humor whose adult life was just beginning. A GoFundMe has also been set up in support of Jones' family and has also received a massive amount of donations from hundreds of donors.
