Burt Reynolds will auction off a totally restored 1977 Pontiac Trans Am just like one he drove in the hit movie Smoky and the Bandit. The black on black Trans Am will go under the gavel during the Carlisle Spring Auction April 24th.

Reynolds bought the car last year and had his friend Harold Murphy who owns a killer restoration shop in West Palm Beach restore it. The Trans Am is an exact copy of the vehicle from the movie and will feature Burt Reynolds autograph on the dash.

Smoky and the Bandit was the second highest grossing movie from 1977 finishing behind only Star Wars for the top spot. That is pretty damn good because no movie was going to beat 'Star Wars' at the box office.

So if you are a huge car fan and love the Trans Am get the checkbook out I don't think this bird will go cheat.
