Today is the anniversary of the birth of Bon Scott the original frontman for AC/DC and had he lived Scott would have been 68 year old. At the age of five his family moved to Australia where he would meet the Young brothers and start one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Scott only did six studio albums with the band before his death with only the last release “Highway to Hell” breaking into the United States charts. Later AC/DC would re-release the Scott catalog to the world, which has sold pretty well.

Bon Scott died in England on February 19, 1980 at the age of 33 and was classified as ‘Death by Misadventure.’ Just a few days before he had been working with Angus and Malcolm Young on a couple of tracks. Those tracks would become "Have a Drink On Me" and "Let Me Put My Love Into You" from the smash ‘Back in Black’.

Bon Scott has been called one of the greatest frontmen in the history of rock even though he only had six years of fame.
