However, besides one of the most recent Bigfoot sightings from a train that was proven to be a hoax, there have been quite a few alleged sightings of the big, hairy, and allegedly smelly cryptids in the Centennial State.
So, how does Colorado compare to neighboring states when it comes to Bigfoot sightings?
How Many Times Has Bigfoot Been Allegedly Spotted in Colorado?
According to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, Bigfoot has been allegedly spotted in Colorado a total of 131 times, most recently this past March.

Because Bigfoot allegedly prefers the woods, it should come as no surprise that Colorado is known for so many sightings, especially compared to the flatter, hotter states that share a border with the Centennial State.
How Many Times Has Bigfoot Been Spotted in States that Border Colorado?
Of all of the states that border Colorado, Bigfoot has allegedly been spotted the most in Oklahoma, with a reported 118 sightings.
This figure is followed by 74 sightings in Utah, 50 sightings in Kansas, 44 sightings in New Mexico, 28 sightings in Wyoming, and a mere 18 Bigfoot sightings in Nebraska.
While the alleged alien crash landing in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 is arguably more believable than an elusive, furry cryptid roaming the woods, the fact that 131 Bigfoot sightings in Colorado have been reported raises some definite questions.
