Batman Captures a Wanted Man in England

Last week a chap dressed as Batman nabbed a wanted man in the Bradford area and took him to the police station. I would never advise anyone to do an act of vigilantism, mainly because in this country you could get shot, but when you dress up as the Adam West version of the Dark Knight it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Early last Monday the desk office at the Trafalgar House station looked up to find Batman standing at his desk with another man in tow. I’m sure the Bobby at first got a chuckle from the sight of some guy dressed as Batman, until he noticed the man in tow. The man brought in was wanted for handling stolen goods and fraud charges. The police booked him and put him the tank; he will go before the magistrates on Friday.

How do you think he explained this to his mates in lock-up? It sounds cool to say, “Yeah, I was pinched by Batman”. Until they see the picture of the pot-bellied guy in the 1966 Batman suit who brought him in. He has lost all respect in the criminal world.
