Anthrax’s ‘For All Kings’ Cracks the Top 10 of Billboard Album Chart

Anthrax’s newest album, For All Kings, has impacted the Billboard 200 chart in a big way. For All Kings landed at No. 9, giving Anthrax its highest chart position in over two decades.

Though overall record sales are slipping around the board, metal artists continue to ascend up the charts thanks to the fans. Anthrax’s current No. 9 spot is the band’s second highest Billboard achievement to date, surpassed only by Sound of White Noise (which peaked at No. 7) back in 1993. In total, the disc moved 34,000 units.

Anthrax scored big in other countries too, attaining the band’s highest positions ever in Australia, Finland, Germany and Norway. For All Kings hit No. 1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart on the U.S. and Canada. As for Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart, For All Kings landed at No. 2. The album has also topped iTunes’ and Amazon’s Metal Albums charts.

“We share this Top 10 victory with all of our fans,” says Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante.  “Heavy metal is alive and well.” “Thank you so much to everyone who loves the record we made,” adds guitarist Scott Ian. “The response to For All Kings has been fantastic, seriously, thank you all so much.”
