Another Chili Cook-Off in the books

The 12th annual Southwest Arbor Fest is in the books and what a great time we had. I think a good time was had by all I know I had a good time. There was a ton of stuff for the kids to do and live music for all to enjoy. For those over 21 the craft beer expo was a big hit and I will have to say there was some good beers to taste. The Pepper eating contest was a huge hit as always, who doesn’t like watching people torture themselves? In all it was a great time.

I will say the day started a little slow but once the Sun came out the crowd came out, which was a good thing because I had a huge pot of chili and didn’t want to take it home. It was another great year for chili and I won 2nd place in the cook-off. Once again KKCO took first place and I’m sure why> I had some their chili and I thought it was a little flat with not much spice to it. I think chili should be hot and go well with beer. I want to thank everyone who came out and thanks for 2nd place, I’ll try harder next year.
