The Fruita Fall Festival is one of the biggest and best festivals in western Colorado.

This is one festival that is so big - with so much going on- it can be a little overwhelming, honestly. It would be easy to miss some of the cool things that go on during the Fruita Fall Festival. That's why I'm here - to help you navigate through the festival maze and zero in on some of the activities, features, and events that are most appealing to you and your family.

Here is a look at just a few things you should know about this year's Fruita Fall Festival.

PHOTO BOOTH
Moon Farm is creating a cool photo booth with a great fall setting of pumpkins and hay bales. It will be a great backdrop for your photos.

FRIDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS
It's a fun night with Outhouse Races at 5:30,  Beauty Pageant at 7:00, and the Williams Brothers Band at 7:00. If you are busy on Saturday and can't get to the festival, try to at least make it out on Friday.

$5 BREAKFAST
Can you say "All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes?" -plus ham, juice, water, coffee, and fruit. Kids 5 and younger can eat free and serving is from 7:30-10:00 am. It just wouldn't be FFF without the Fruita Lions Pancake Breakfast.

PARADE
The parade is always a big part of the celebration on Saturday and everybody loves a parade. This year's parade at 10:00 and the theme is "Fall In Love With Fruita."

BONFIRE
Saturday evening is the Fruita Chamber Bonfire and S'mores. I don't know exactly what happens here but I know there is a fire and there are s'mores so it's got to be a winning combination.

PARKING
Disability parking is available north of the Civic Center building off of North Elm. General parking is on side streets. Just be careful not to block anyone's driveway.

MUSIC
From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon it's pretty much wall-to-wall music. While you will enjoy a variety of high-quality music, it will be a heavy dose of country, bluegrass, and blues. They have some outstanding bands lined up. Bring a chair or two and sit a spell.
