For anyone who loves classic automobiles, the Gateway Auto Museum is a must-see attraction in western Colorado.

During the car show season we get to see lots of classic cars and trucks. We dream about owning one of these beauties,  and, in some cases,  we relive memories of days gone by when these autos were new.

But, western Colorado is home to an awesome collection of vehicles that represent over 100  years of automobile history. Tourists love the museum, but tons of residents on the western slope are missing out on this great experience right in their own backyard.

If you are one of those individuals who hasn't made the trek to Gateway to see the auto museum, check out these five things to know about the Gateway Auto Museum. Next thing you know you'll be on Highway 141 on your way to Gateway.
