5 Reasons to Attend the 5th Annual Vintage Motorcycle Days
The 5th Annual Vintage Motorcycle Days, hosted by the Western Colorado Vintage Motorcycle Association, is coming up Saturday, June 1st from 10 am to 4pm, and features lots of collectible bikes, live music, fun for the kids, and an excuse to visit beautiful downtown Palisade. Here's a short list of five reasons to set aside part of your day to enjoy this free family event.
1. Vintage Motorcycles
The whole bunch will enjoy the chance to see vintage motorcycles owned by collectors from several states. I personally get a kick out of the 1930-1940's model Indian motorcycles, just like my grandpa used to ride back in WWII.
2. Live Music
Enjoy entertainment with the Desert Flyer Band, performing the latest Country, along with some Classic Rock and Oldies. Music starts at 10 a.m.
3. Fun for the kids
The kids will love the bounce house provided by Willy Wanna Jump. The bounce house is free, but parents are required to supervise.
4. Silent Auction
Place your bids for the silent auction, with all proceeds going to Operation Interdependence. Auction items include gym memberships, salon services, motorcycle gear, golf packages, lodging, and a whole lot more.
5. Everything goes towards Operation Interdependence
All proceeds from the silent auction and t-shirt sales go directly to Operation Interdependence, sending civilian rations to troops overseas.
The 5th Annual Vintage Motorcycle Days is a free event. You can show off your vintage bike at no charge. You will be asked to check in so the organizers can get a little info on your bike. Should you choose to enter for the judging, there is an entry fee due at check in. Trophies will be awarded for those entered for the judging.
There's a reason why they've done this for five years; people love the event. Make plans to bring the whole bunch for this free family event.
