If you're looking for a great way to relax and destress after a long work week visiting hot springs is a great way to accomplish this. It can also offer some tremendous health benefits like loosening up any sore muscles you're dealing with.

Often times people like to keep hot springs a secret so they don't get overcrowded but my feeling is that as long as you leave it better than you found it there is no reason to keep these hot springs a secret. Also, big thanks to leisuregrouptravel.com for helping me put this list together.

Here is the list of 5 Hot Springs that you should be checking out whenever you have some free time:

  1. Glenwood Springs - it's considered to be the world's largest mineral hot springs pool. The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is also nearby and that is fun for the entire family.
  2. Pagosa Springs - according to the Guinness World Records this is the World's Deepest Geothermal Hot Spring. This spring also supplies a heating source for downtown businesses.
  3. Steamboat Springs - this offers a more country/ western vibe. If you're bringing your family make sure to visit the Old Town Hot Springs that offers waterslides and other family-friendly activities.
  4. Ouray County - it's iconic hot springs offer family fun in a facility that is 90+ years old. Although there was a major renovation project that took place in late 2016.
  5. Orvis Hot Springs - this is the one you probably want to avoid if you have kids with you as this is strategically positioned and clothing is optional.

You can click on each of the hot springs to learn more about that specific location.
