The Oscars can be very confusing and frustrating. So, if you're looking for an alternative, look no further than the MTV Movie Awards, which unveiled their 2015 nominations today. Oddly, they too are confusing and frustrating, albeit for completely different reasons.

Guardians of the Galaxy, The Fault In Our Stars and Neighbors tied for the most with seven nominations each, a good sign that there's a little more diversity to these awards. Of course, one of Neighbors nominated moments is for Zac Efron's abs, so you know... The categories are as abstract as ever with Best Shirtless Performance and Best Scared as S--- Performance. We're not even sure what that last one is. Is that people who get scared in movies? If so, why is Rosamund Pike nominated for Gone Girl?

It's still nice to see Guardians of the Galaxy get some love, though this all seems like a massive setup for The Fault In Our Stars to eventually win everything, as the Twilight and Hunger Games films have done throughout the years. If you want to change that, you can cast your vote at MovieAwards.MTV.com through Saturday, April 11.

Amy Schumer is hosting this year's MTV Movie Awards, which takes place live on Sunday, April 12 at 8pm ET.
