You Can Have the Cake, I Want Pie

The holidays are upon us and that means once again the great debate is on. Is it cake or pie? For years people have debated which is the best and which you should have after dinner. I was on the eve of my seventh birthday when I joined the debate. My mother came to me and asked Thomas what kind of cake do you want for your birthday? I looked at her and said “PIE” I want pie. I don’t know why I picked pie over cake. My Mom makes a great cake and at the time she had a bunch of those cake pans that she could do different characters with, but I wanted pie. I don’t think I have met a pie I didn’t like and with a little ice cream I like it even more. If you really want to do it right then have both cake and pie or pie and cake whichever it is just save me a slice. Have a great holiday season.
