This dad is a workaholic.

A Latrobe, Pa. man was arrested last week for selling heroin in the maternity ward while well-wishers stopped by to see his newborn baby.

Cody Hulse, 25, is the class act who got busted for the wildly inappropriate action after his girlfriend delivered their daughter. His undoing came when cops stopped a car and found heroin and drug paraphernalia. The people in the vehicle tipped off cops that they had scored their stash from Hulse at the hospital.

According to TribLive:

When officers confronted Hulse in his girlfriend's room Thursday just hours after the baby's birth, he admitted selling heroin to people who visited him in the Greensburg hospital, according to the affidavit filed by Detective Sgt. John Swank. Police confiscated 34 stamp bags of heroin, four empty stamp bags and multiple hypodermic needles Hulse was carrying, police said.

Hulse copped to the crime, while also admitting he has an issue with drugs. Despite that confession, he was incensed at the judge's decision to set bond at $100,000 cash. "This is ridiculous," he said in court.

Not as ridiculous as selling drugs in a maternity ward, but, yeah, it's totally ridiculous. In fact, why didn't the judge just dismiss the whole case altogether?

So, what's the moral of the story here? Well, obviously, don't be a moron and sell drugs in a hospital. But, also, remember that you shouldn't be a workaholic. This guy was so focused on doing business he didn't get to experience the joy of having a daughter. You don't want your life to revolve around work to the point it affects your relationship with your family, do you?
