A woman chose to be brutally honest with a un-uniformed Grand Junction Police officer, and her truthfulness has earned her a stay at the Mesa County Jail.

In the early hours of Tuesday, August 11, 2015, a uniformed Grand Junction police officer made contact with a woman in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue. When asked where she and her companion were heading, the woman responded she was going "somewhere to hide from police."

During the course of the conversation, the officer noticed a rolled up cloth sticking out of Gordon's clothing. The officer also noticed the presence of two plungers for hypodermic needles at the top of the cloth.

Gordon was remanded to the Mesa County Jail on charges of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
