The front range cities of Denver, Colorado Springs and the like don't have anything like Western Colorado traffic jams.

In this part of the state traffic jams - or should I say traffic lambs - don't always include automobiles.

Plus, unlike in the big city where honking your horn, hand gestures, and aggressive driving has little consequence, that behavior in this kind of jam is the worst possible thing you could do.

For true Western Coloradans, whether they're farmers, ranchers, oil and gas workers or town folk, these jams aren't an inconvenience, they're a part of life that lets us just sit back for a bit and enjoy the ride.

In this part of the state, we embrace the fact that at the end of the day we all just want to get along.
