Wayne Static and Smile Empty Soul will join a solid lineup of bands taking part in the 2014 'Civil Unrest Tour.' The trek, which gets underway in May, is rounded out by Otep, Dope and Thira, making for an impressive night of hard rock glory.

"It's going to be a blast," says Static. "I love all the bands. I've toured with all of them before and I'm looking forward to seeing them all again. Also looking forward to hitting the West Coast again because it has been way too long. This little run is right in the middle of our 'Wisconsin Death Trip' tour, so we will still be performing all of 'Wisconsin Death Trip' at all of these shows."

Smile Empty Soul frontman Sean Danielsen says, "We're excited to be touring with this great group of bands that have been doing this as a high level for so long. It's a real quality lineup." Meanwhile, Otep Shamaya added, "We're very excited to bring the riot with Wayne and all of these bands on this tour."

The 'Civil Unrest Tour' launches May 8 at Strummer's in Fresno, Calif. and continues along the West Coast through a May 20 finale at The Glass House in Pomona, Calif.

As mentioned, Static will continue celebrating the anniversary of Static-X's 'Wisconsin Death Trip' album, while Smile Empty Soul is rocking their 'Chemicals' disc, which dropped last fall. Otep released their 'Hydra' album in January of 2013 and Dope are currently in the midst of working on a new disc. Thira are promoting their 'The Ascension Construct' EP.
