Very Happy Ending for One Pet at Grand Junction Animal Shelter

Grand Junction pet lovers suffered a broken heart yesterday (February 2) when Abby, a 14-year-old Pyrenees/Greyhound mix, was relinquished to Roice-Hurst Humane Society. Abby's parent had entered Hospice and could no longer care for her. In less than 24 hours, though, Abby's story took a magical turn.

Roice-Hurst Humane Society, via their Facebook page, announced today Abby had already been adopted.

It seems an unidentified lady happened to see the post on Facebook and felt Abby would be the perfect dog for her mother, Janice. Since we don't know what to call the lady, she'll be referred to as simply "Anonymous, Daughter of Janice." Do you recall how Worf on Star Trek: The Next Generation was always "Worf, Son of Mogh"? This is kind of the same thing.

Well, it seems "Anonymous, Daughter of Janice" quickly called her mother and informed her she should adopt Abby. That's exactly what Janice did.
