It’s been confirmed! Tool will play their first New York City show in over a decade this year at the annual Governors Ball Music Festival.

The rumors were true! Not only haven’t Tool played in New York City for over 10 years, they haven’t even been nearby since 2012! You can bet the New York faithful will come in droves to Randall’s Island Park, where a diverse musical lineup will await fans.

Only a few other rock bands grace this year’s bill, including Cage the Elephant and Royal Blood. The rest will be rounded out by hip-hop, pop, dance, indie and pop acts like Wu-Tang Clan, Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Childish Gambino, Wiz Khalifa, Phoenix, Beach House and many more.

Governors Ball 2017 will be held from June 2-4. There’s currently no word on which day Tool or any other act will perform, so keep checking the festival website for updates. Tickets for the three-day event will go on sale this Friday, Jan. 6, at noon ET.
